Giarai

PaThen
PhuLa
SiLa
Tay
LaHu

I have BAM files of these ethnic groups and I converted all of them to plink format and to 23andMe format, but I can't check their K23b results because admix.py script which I'm using does not include the K23b calculator. I can check their results for example in HarappaWorld calculator if you are interested.
Those samples are from ethnic minority populations in Vietnam. Many of them have co-ethnics in China (e.g. Co Lao is nominally the same as China's 仡佬族 Gelao-zu, Dao is nominally the same as China's 瑶族 Yao-zu, Ha Nhi is nominally the same as China's 哈尼族 Hani-zu, La Hu is nominally the same as China's 拉祜族 Lahu-zu). In some other cases, the official ethnic classifications in the two countries do not match up perfectly: for example, H'Mông have their own official classification in Vietnam, whereas they are lumped into a looser 苗族 Miao-zu supraethnicity in China. Pa Then are lumped into the Yao-zu in China. Lo Lo, Phu La, and some of the La Chi are all lumped into a 彝族 Yi-zu supraethnicity in China, while the Nung, Tay, and some others of the La Chi are all lumped into a 壮族 Zhuang-zu supraethnicity in China.

I'm reading here (link below) that the Ha Nhi migrated to Vietnam 300 years ago, but the article doesn't say where they came from, do you know?:

Where are they originally from?

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hani_people#Origins
Quote:The origins of the Hani are not precisely known, though their ancestors, the ancient Qiang tribe, are believed to have migrated southward from the Qinghai–Tibetan plateau prior to the third century CE.

The Hani oral traditions state that they are descended from the Yi people, and that they split off as a separate tribe fifty generations ago. One of their oral traditions is the recital of the names of Hani ancestors from the first Hani family down to oneself.

The Y-chromosome profiles of those samples of Si La and Ha Nhi from Vietnam have been published (cf. Enrico Macholdt et al. 2020, "The paternal and maternal genetic history of Vietnamese populations").

Ha Nhi (i.e. Hani) from Mường Tè District, Lai Châu Province, NW Vietnam
1/33 = 3.0% C2e1a-CTS2657(xCTS8579)
3/33 = 9.1% C2e1a1-CTS8579
5/33 = 15.2% F-M89
3/33 = 9.1% N1-M2291
2/33 = 6.1% O1a1a2a-CTS701
2/33 = 6.1% O1b1a1a1a1a1b-Z24091
2/33 = 6.1% O1b1a1a1a2a1a-FGC19713
3/33 = 9.1% O1b1a2a1-F1759
12/33 = 36.4% O2a2b1a1a1a2a-F2137

Si La (a tiny ethnic group whose members speak a basal Hani or "Hanoid" language) from Mường Tè District, Lai Châu Province, NW Vietnam
3/29 = 10.3% C2e1a-CTS2657(xCTS8579)
1/29 = 3.4% N1-M2291
1/29 = 3.4% O1a1a2a-CTS701
24/29 = 82.8% O1b1a2a1-F1759

According to TheYtree, every one of the four lineages found in Macholdt's sample of Si La from Mường Tè District of northwestern Vietnam also has been found in Macholdt's sample of Ha Nhi from the same district.

According to TheYtree, C2e1a-CTS2657(xCTS8579) found in 3/29 Si La and 1/33 Ha Nhi is C-M217 > C-F1067 > C-CTS2 > C-F978 > C-F3895 > C-CTS2657 > C-A14901 > C-A14909 > C-TYT78401 > C-Y178807 > C-Y244698 > C-Y170784 (TMRCA 3370 ybp) > C-TY92281 (TMRCA 2360 ybp). A sister clade, C-Y170784 > C-Y244639 (TMRCA 2220 ybp), is represented at TheYtree by the Y-DNA of a certain Mr. Zhang [张], Manchu, from Siping, Jilin and the Y-DNA of a certain Mr. Sean Lee [] from Sydney, Australia. 23mofang currently has tabulated a total of six members of C-MF237770/C-Y170784 (TMRCA 3130 ybp), four of whom are as follows:

Mr. Shen [沈], Han, from Wuxing District, Huzhou, Zhejiang in C-Y170784 > C-MF392895
Mr. Zhang [张], Han, from Shenyang, Liaoning in C-Y170784 > C-Y244639 > C-MF404234
Mr. Zhang [张], Manchu, from Yitong Manchu Autonomous County, Siping, Jilin in C-Y170784 > C-Y244639 > C-MF237226 > C-MF36147
Mr. Li [李], Manchu, from Penglai, Yantai, Shandong in C-Y170784 > C-Y244639 > C-MF237226 > C-TY475790

So, it seems that this particular Sila/Hani lineage (C-TY92281) has not been detected among males in China who have had their Y-DNA tested to date, but the Sila/Hani lineage should share a common patrilineal ancestor with a few Manchu and Han males from (north)eastern China slightly more than 3,000 years ago.

According to TheYtree, N1-M2291 found in 3/33 Ha Nhi and 1/29 Si La is N-M231 > N-Z4762 > N-F963 > N-F2930 > N-M1819 > N-F1020 > N-M1928 > N-Y125475 > N-M1793 > N-CTS4714 > N-F2407 > N-M1877 > N-F1486 > N-TYT88863 (TMRCA 4600 ybp) > N-TY51188 (TMRCA 3590 ybp). Two of the Ha Nhi individuals are basal to a subclade (N-TY51202, TMRCA 3160 ybp) that subsumes the Y-DNA of the third Ha Nhi individual and the Y-DNA of the Si La individual plus the Y-DNA of two La Hu individuals from Macholdt's sample of Lahu, which likewise has been collected in Mường Tè District, Lai Châu Province, Vietnam. Besides this Hani/Sila/Lahu N-TY51188 branch from northwestern Vietnam, N-TYT88863/N-MF62963 includes several other branches:

N-TYT88863 > N-FTB24092 (TMRCA 4450 ybp) Karen from Thailand x3, Shan from Thailand x1

N-TYT88863 > N-FT333598 > N-FTB23949 (TMRCA 4025 ybp) Karen from Thailand x1, Lawa from Thailand x1, Mon from Thailand x1

N-TYT88863 > N-FT333598 > N-TYT213232 (TMRCA 4525 ybp) Mr. Hu [胡] from Beijing x1, Mr. Li [李] from Guangdong x1, Edward from Hangu District, Tianjin x1, Mr. Zhang [张] from Qilihe District, Lanzhou, Gansu x1, Red Lahu from Thailand x1, Lahu from Mường Tè District, Lai Châu Province, Vietnam x5, Mr. Shao [邵] from Shen County, Liaocheng, Shandong relocated to Hexi District, Tianjin x1, Han from Xinyang, Henan (HGDP01295) x1
(These Lahu members all belong to N-TYT88863 > N-FT333598 > N-TYT213232 > N-Y79775 > N-FGC68178 [TMRCA 3660 ybp] > N-TYT159909 [TMRCA 2650 ybp]. They are most closely related to Mr. Zhang from Qilihe District of Lanzhou, who belongs to N-FGC68178 > N-PH2398.)

According to TheYtree, the O1a1a2a-CTS701 lineage found among these Ha Nhi and Si La people belongs to O-CTS701 > O-K644 > O-Z23267 > O-MF173075 > O-Z23274 > O-Z23271 > O-Z23333 > O-Z23327 > O-Z23355 > O-Z23328 > O-Z23357 > O-Z23359 > O-Z23373 (TMRCA 1620 ybp). This lineage is the predominant Y-DNA lineage in Macholdt's sample of La Chi from Hoàng Su Phì District, Hà Giang Province, Vietnam. Besides the Lachi and these Hani and Sila individuals, members of the O-Z23373 branch also have been found among Dao i.e. Yao from Hoàng Su Phì District, Hà Giang Province, Vietnam, Tày i.e. Zhuang from Bình Liêu District, Quảng Ninh Province, Vietnam, Dai from Xishuangbanna, Yunnan, Lao Isan from Thailand, Tai Lue from Thailand, Tai Yuan from Thailand, Phuan from Thailand, Mon from Thailand, Suay i.e. Kuy from Thailand, S'gaw Karen from Thailand, and Lao from Laos as well as in a scientific sample (FPG0047) that has been reported to be the Y-DNA of a Han individual from China.

According to TheYtree, the predominant Y-DNA lineage among the Si La sample of Macholdt et al. belongs to O-CTS4040 > O-Page59 > O-Z24309 > O-F4070 > O-F993 > O-F1759 > O-CTS4936 > O-F3346 > O-F2064 > O-F3314 > O-Z24380 > O-F3323 > O-Y157814 > O-ACT3266 (TMRCA 3420 ybp) > O-TY2566. The three O1b1a2a1-F1759 individuals from Macholdt's Ha Nhi sample also belong to the same clade. I have not seen any evidence of the Sila/Hani O-TY2566 branch among data from China to date, but members of O-ACT3266(xTY2566) have been detected in China according to 23mofang:

O-Y149401/O-ACT3266 (TMRCA 3690 ybp) 21 members
*O-MF213846 Unknown**, Han, from Jingjiang, Taizhou, Jiangsu
*O-MF362273 Mr. Yan [颜], Han, from Zhenhai District, Ningbo, Zhejiang + 1 other
*O-MF499992 Mr. Chen [陈], Han, from Dongxihu District, Wuhan, Hubei
*O-Y149393 (TMRCA 2570 ybp)
**O-MF28952 Mr. Yin [尹] from Qixia, Yantai, Shandong
**O-MF623931 Mr. Chen [陈], Han, from Cixi, Ningbo, Zhejiang
*O-MF601555 (TMRCA 2950 ybp)
**O-MF398111 (TMRCA 1800 ybp)
***O-MF398113 Mr. Xing [邢], Han, from Zhangqiu District, Jinan, Shandong
***O-MF479675 Mr. Xing [邢], Han, from Linyi County, Dezhou, Shandong
**O-FT315890 (TMRCA 1980 ybp)
***O-MF410988 Mr. Li [李], Han, from Haixing County, Cangzhou, Hebei
***O-MF489701 Mr. Qiao [乔], Han, from Changchun, Jilin

Mr. Yin from Qixia also has registered himself at TheYtree, where he has indicated himself to be Han. TheYtree also has tabulated two present-day scientific specimens from Sichuan as well as an ancient specimen (I31516 HRR1830041) from the capital of the ancient state of Qi [齊] dated to 877-771 BCE (Liangchun cemetery, Linzi District, Zibo, Shandong) under O-ACT3266.

Do you know where I can download the genotype data from these studies?

For example the authors of "Ancient genomes reveal millet farming-related demic diffusion from the Yellow River into southwest China" claim that: "Haploid genotype data of ancient individuals in this study on the 1240K panel are available in the EIGENSTRAT format from the following link: https://reich.hms.harvard.edu/allen-anci...t-dna-data."

But when I search through this Reich dataset, I cannot find sample JHC28.

I've found CZY4656 and CZY4657 (from "East Asian Gene flow bridged by northern coastal populations over past 6000 years") here:

https://ngdc.cncb.ac.cn/gsa-human/browse/HRA008755

Still looking for the rest of the samples.

Most important is that set of wangchenggang sample, which is capital of Xia dynasty, shows O-M134,one F402,one F114,both samples shift toward south bit more compare to other wanggou samples(basicly closest to  modern northern han),remind people that Yu the great's wife came from 涂山 clan from southeast of china(modern day anhui province),F402 is most explosive expansion branch in late longshan(marked as Longshan clan no.1)which is King of Xia.
