Virtual Machine stopped working
#1
I have a Linux Ubuntu Virtual Machine, I use it for running Admixture etc. Last time I used it everything was okay but now there are errors:

Does anyone know what might be wrong and how to fix it?

Run some of those systemctl status commands to get additional information. Start from the top.

You don't have two instances of VirtualBox trying to access that virtual disk do you?

Yes I have only one instance. I re-installed VirtualBox but it didn't help.

Here is what I did which actually helped:

I cloned my virtual machine, and the cloned version now works as it should. So I will delete the original machine and leave just the clone as a new one. What caused this problem in the first place was probably the fact that I compressed my C Drive, where the machine was installed. I uncompressed my C Drive but it didn't help.

Then I cloned the machine to my D Drive and now it works (the cloned instance).

I guess the thread can be closed.

Recommend creating a backup of your VM files to a separate location off that box so you have fallback position.
