Hello everyone,
Does anyone know if there's a way to get in touch with Nebula besides their abysmal customer service?
Apparently, many Nebula WGS tests are added (in collaboration with YFull) to the tree.
However, there is no clear system/notification. So, almost always, 90% of these tests fall off the tree due to a lack of payment. I have had 5 unknown origin samples tested through Nebula in my line that just fell off.
When I reached out to Nebula, and provided my line and asked if there's a way to check customer IDs in their system, the general customer service was useless and didn't know any way of finding this info.
It's a shame that most of these tests fall off the tree. Wish there was a way around this??

I believe that Nebula doesnt explain in detail that customers need to pay to Yfull so is seems to me this is a mistake on only side (nebula )

Is there any way to rectify this? Anyone that can be contacted?
Nebula's customer support is pretty horrendous.

I personally had the very tedious experience of persuading my nearest 1000y relative to pay for yfull analysis.
He saw no use of this info.
Thanks to my eloquence he paid but left not satisfied.
I would rather hope for some changes in yfull internal policies which would let us pay for some basic analysis without private snps and strs and for messaging interface
The same problem in persuading of bigY user to upload their results to yfull of free theytree or dnachron

I 100% agree with some sort of policy change.
I recall asking them to make it a requirement to input the flag and language of earliest paternal ancestors, and YFull claimed this violated privacy rights.
I find it a ridiculous answer. How the hell does knowing a country/language origin violate a particular individuals privacy exactly? Why bother doing a Y-DNA test if you are going to remain hidden or "unknown". There is no personal name, address, email or other details connected to a simple flag and language indicator. Heck, even the village/region doesn't violate privacy.
I think it's either ignorance, and a lazy explanation.

Is seems to me most the people doing test at Nebula are mostly concerned with the medical file not about Y-DNA and mtDNA and Autousmal

It's a shame
Would be great to have the ability to pay for these samples to keep them on the tree. I don't see it violating anything. At most it helps to accurate branching and age prediction based on private SNPs.
Not sure what a string of numbers reveals in terms of privacy to be honest.

Hopefully it wasn't junk leads and they see it. Chances are it's going to spam though lol.

I dont know how to become team Yfull care about it maybe we can told them that most of those who doing tested with Nebula don't pay, and they should communicate with their clients to explain that payment to Yfull is necessary ?

I agree. Do we know who the CEO/Head of YFull is, and whether they're on Linkedin?
Maybe I can use the scouter tool to send them a message there.
I have communicated something similar to the general YFull team, but they always come up with an excuse as if their hands are tied.
