Hg U6a7 in North Pakistan
#1
Hello everybody
its interesting to find Haplogroup U6a7b1 in South Asia, as there is 1 sample from the Kalash people in North Pakistan
I would like to ask, during which period did this subclade migrate to South Asia?

I didn't find no sample U6a7b1 from Near East.
a lot from France, one ancestral U6a7b* from Portugal (surely Maghreb descendant)
You'd run BLAST with all U6a7b1 Genbank samples to detect extra variants or different deletions

I see this its different SNPs , I dont find this sample in GenBank but i use google sheets to comparison between samples in Genbank and this sample Kalash anyway i trying to find all variants this sample Kalash

no match. I also checked Ian logan haplogroup sheet. Nobody has reported those rare INDELs in Control Region. 195C and 198T are detected in all U6a7b samples (except  a few ancient  no calls). We cannot know the haplotype because authors didn't share full sequence results, i am sure there are 1 or 2 variants in Coding Region

This interesting do you think this sample it possible has new subclade (basel) under U6a7b1
but which period did this subclade migration to south Asia ?
I think possible 2000~4000 years ?

I can't answer because I'd need full Mitochondrial Sequence to know all real variants. Here are only HVR-I and HVR-II variants and INDELs, partial results cannot determine TMRCA
